BLIZZARD STONE
Blizzard Stone is a fairly new stone. It was discovered in Alaska in the
1990's while Steve Monroe (now Cutler) was looking for meteorites. He
believed he had found one when his magnet was attracted to a large boulder.
However, it was determined not to be a meteorite, but a form of igneous rock
called gabbro. This stone resembles Snowflake Obsidian due to its inclusion
of grayish- white crystals of Feldspar in a charcoal black matrix. IT IS
