The color of these Zircons is what I call "Imperial". This material cuts spectacular finished gem stones. Think of the nicest pink/peach to champagne/orange colored diamond you have ever seen and you will be close.

This is all crystal "high Zircon". The sparkle is almost blinding.

This material is red/peach/orange to pastel pink/peach in color and varies by the piece. The color(s) when cut are rich and intense orange/red/pinks and/or pastel pink/peach.

These colors in Zircons are quite stunning and rare. The tonal range varies depending on the individual piece, and they are a little more intense as they get larger.

Large White Zircon Faceted Rough

White Zircons do not really look like much when they are rough, but when they are faceted they are stunning. That is why white Zircons were use as a Diamond look alike for the last several hundred years. Large white Zircons are not all that common rough because most of them are already cut for the retail jewelry market.

Canary Yellow Zircon Faceted Rough

These stones are light to canary yellow to golden/yellow. These are very bright and admantine, they look diamond like when faceted. Barions and deep designs are my first choice for this type of rough, although it will work well in about any brilliant design. This is all high crystal Zircon.

Honey Zircon Faceted Rough
Locality: Tanzania, Africa
This Zircon is often referred to as "cocoa" or "honey" color in the trade. No matter what you call it, the finished gemstones out of this material are very pretty.
The colors range from a light honey color to a red/brown/orange which I call "cocoa" color, and are pleasing to the eye. Care must be taken on the red/brown/orange colors to not cut them in a deep design, as they can become too dark, a brilliant cuts (something you might put a garnet in) works best.

Madagascar Zircon Faceted Rough
Locality: Africa
This Zircon is from Madagascar (mostly, there may be a few from other locations... I buy them as a mix so it is hard to know exactly, the miners all drift around). The colors are quite nice, a medium yellow/gold to green, reddish, clear, and light to pale yellow, to orange/yellow. These stones are rather unusual in color, cut them in any brilliant design.

Fancy Zircon Faceting Rough
Locality: Kenya/Tanzania, Africa
This material only seems to be mined sporadically, and often can not be found. It is a mix from the Kenya/Tanzania region and does not seem to be from one mine. The color ranges from a red to red/orange to mauve, pinkish to a yellow/gold color. A lot of it seems to have a metallic look to it, which is interesting when cut. The sizes are usually 2-10cts in the rough with the occasional larger stone. These cut like most Zircons, and have some heat sensitivity, the lighter colors make good small Barions, the darker red/oranges are great for Brilliants.

Champagne Zircons Faceted Rough

(High Zircon)
Locality: Tanzania

The color as you can see is a delicate champagne gold/pink/ some times gold/yellow. The color is quite unique and as far as I know I am the only person that has this color. This is High Zircon (crystal 1.98 R.I.) and will cut a very bright sparkly stone. This material once cleaned is pretty easy to work with.

Large Butterscotch Zircons
Locality: Africa
These stones are a very nice orange/yellow, yellow/gold to light yellow color, which is why I call them butterscotch. The tonal range varies depending on the individual piece, and they are a little more intense as they get larger. I like this material in about any design, but as the stones get larger I think brilliant cuts work best, also checker boards are nice.

Cambodian Blue to Blue/Green Zircon Faceted Rough

(High Zircon) Locality: Cambodia
This material is all medium blue/blue green to top blue (Sapphire blue in some cases) in color. These colors are difficult to get, particularity in stones of any size. This color blue to blue/green Zircon is in very high demand in the cut stone market and most of it gets native cut and marketed directly as cut stones and in jewelry. This material has been heated.

Nigerian Blue Zircon Faceted Rough

(High Zircon)
Locality: Nigeria, Africa
Almost all blue Zircon is heated, it originally starts out a tan/brown color, that is not like the Honey Zircon at all, it is really not very pretty. After heating it comes out a nice blue.

Huge Mauve Zircon (Pinkish/Red) Faceted Rough

This Zircon is quite large, I seldom ever see one that will cut over a few carats in this type of high Zircon. The color is pink/red with maybe a very slight metallic copper tint depending on the light. This will cut a very large and unusual colored stone. It would make a very nice cushion or square cushion,
